Ranking of the 7 Best Gaming Chairs
7. DXRacer RAA106 Racing Series
The DX Racer RA106 is a great chair, and it comes from one of the largest brands worldwide. Yes, the reputation has a price that gamers need to pay to show the DX Racer name while casting on Twitch. But in this case, the manufacturer has reduced the cost to the minimum to reach a wider audience.
Concerning ergonomics, the chair is designed to ensure a good posture during long hours in front of the computer. The experience of the brand in this field guarantees that they know what they do. One possible limitation could be the backrest recline angle, which goes from vertical to 135°. Even if that’s enough for your day-to-day gaming or working needs, some users like the idea of lying horizontally on their gaming chair. If you’re one of them, this one isn’t your gaming chair.
On the positive side, I really like the upholstery proposed by DXRacer. A combination of fabric mesh and PU-leather provides a great user experience and makes it ideal for those gamers that tend to sweat a lot.
- Overall, excellent quality.
- The fabric mesh and PU-leather combine well together.
- Assembly guide a bit vague.
- The seat is probably a bit too narrow.
6. Arozzi Verona V2
Arozzi is, without a doubt, one of the premium gaming brands that most of the users know about. Their Arozzi Verona V2 is a great gaming chair with a fantastic ergonomic design and relatively good quality materials.
And the reason why it’s so far away from the top positions of our list is that, in my honest opinion, it’s a bit overpriced. The chair has a few more elements in plastic than it should, like the base. On top of that, the armrests are only adjustable in height (what we call 1D armrests). These might be minor drawbacks for a vast majority of gamers. Still, I believe that we must be picky when we are willing to pay this amount of money.
Of course, this product has strengths as well. The Swedish company definitely knows how to build gaming chairs, and you will immediately notice the high level of comfort as soon as you sit on it. The headrest and lumbar pillows are easy to adjust so that you can quickly find the best posture for your body.
So, to summarize, it’s probably not the best gaming chair in the world. Still, it’s definitely an attractive choice for those who look for reputable brands like Arozzi, as long as the budget is not a limitation.
- Easy to assemble.
- Comfortable, easy to adjust.
- Some plastic elements make it look “cheap”.
- Only 1D armrests.
5. GT Omega Racing Pro
The design of the GT Omega Racing Pro might seem similar to the Racing spirit of the DX Racer. Still, somehow the GT Omega provides a more elegant feeling. If you hesitate between these two models, you should know that this one is usually cheaper. You can check out the full review here.
Its ergonomic backrest is designed to provide the ideal support for your neck and shoulders. The cushion’s foam is firm but feels nice, so the only drawback in terms of comfort would be the neck rest. Unfortunately, the elastic band isn’t convenient, and it might be difficult to adjust if you are rather tall (or small). But if you are an average-sized gamer, you’ll probably find this gaming chair awesome.
Just a reminder, the materials are sturdy, and the overall quality is pretty good. But its main strength, in my opinion, is the 4D-adjustable armrests. With this kind of technology, you’ll be able to adjust their position accurately to fit your body shape and avoid back or neck pain in the future. That’s clearly a feature that many gaming chairs of this price range simply don’t have.
- Excellent ergonomic design for optimal comfort.
- 4D-adjustable armrests.
- Great value-for-money.
- The adjustment of the neck pillow isn’t really convenient.
4. Downix Gaming Chair
The Downix Gaming Chair has a different structural design compared to the other products presented here, and that’s something I kind of like. The main noticeable difference is at the armrests, which have a nice foam padding to provide higher comfort. Plus, the armrests are linked to the backrest so that you can still use them conveniently when you lean back.
Of course, this has pros and cons. Personally, I like that feature because I often recline the backrest to watch movies. But on the flip side, we lose the adjustment possibilities when we are sitting. So, this is quite a personal choice in the end.
Apart from that, the Downix gaming chair comes with an integrated footrest and a massage (or, better said, vibration) function. In other words, everything you need to relax your back muscles whenever you need it.
Having said that, I would not recommend this chair if you live in a warm area or you tend to sweat. Although transpiration is a common problem with PU-leather upholstery, in this case, it might be a bit warmer than usual.
- The armrests padding.
- Vibration function.
- Attractive design and multiple colors available.
- It might not suit the big-size users.
- The faux-leather is quite warm.
3. Ficmax Gaming Chair
Most users will possibly agree that the Ficmax Gaming Chair offers one of the best value-for-money in its category. It’s a great product when it comes to comfort: the backrest reclines up to 180°, an integrated footrest is included, and the lumbar pillow has a massage/vibration function. If you spend long hours in front of the computer, all these together will probably help you fight the backpain.
The massage function comes in two different speeds, but there isn’t a big difference between them, honestly. You’ll need as well a free USB port to connect the power supply, and be careful because the cable isn’t that long. In any case, if you want to enjoy this function far away from your PC, just take a power bank with you.Now let’s talk about its main weakness: the armrests are only height-adjustable (1D). It’s a pity that they didn’t equip this chair with a 3D system like the Corsair T1 Race because that would probably place this chair even higher in this ranking. Anyhow, it’s still one of the best gaming chairs you can get for less than 200 bucks.
- Massage/vibration function.
- Retractable footrest.
- Great value-for-money
- Only height-adjustable armrests.
2. Corsair T1 Racing
The Corsair T1 Race is one of the best gaming chairs out there, as we can expect from this worldwide known brand. It stands out thanks to its ergonomic design and the vast possibilities for adjustment: 4D armrests, a wide range of height adjustment, and a backrest recline angle up to 180°. If you’re still not convinced, maybe its sober design with high-quality PU-leather should make the rest.
However, one small negative point won’t please the most demanding gamers: the armrests’ locking system is slightly wobbly. Of course, that’s not a huge problem, but we want to get the best when willing to pay this amount of money.
It’s worth mentioning that the T1 Race is just the first model of the Corsair Gaming Chair Series. The other two, T2 Road Warrior and T3 Rush, are great gaming chairs as well, but at a slightly higher price. On top of that, they are a bit larger than the T1 Race, something you should take into account if you’re rather tall.
So, if your available budget is not a problem, you should definitely take a look at the other models. Otherwise, the T1 Race is already a good chair that will satisfy most gamers’ needs.
- Elegant design and several colors available.
- 4D-adjustable armrests.
- Backrest recline up to 180°
- The locking system of the armrests.
1. AK Racing Core Series EX
The AK Racing Core Series EX is definitely one of the best gaming chairs out there (at a price affordable by the average human). In essence, it’s quite similar to the DX Racer chair, with some small differences.
First, the AK Racing will allow you to recline the backrest 180°, in case you want to take a nap. The Core EX is also finished with high-quality fabric, perfect to avoid too much sweating in summer. But if you prefer the faux-leather, the Core SX model is what you need. Lastly, since we all know that the seat’s width is usually a concern, the AKRacing Core LX model is slightly larger if you need more space.
In any case, one of the strongest points of the AKRacing chair is durability. Actually, the manufacturer provides 5 years warranty for replaceable parts and 10 years for the structure itself. Yes, you’re paying a high price, but you can be sure to have your own throne for several years.
We need to talk about drawbacks too. The pillows are useful to find the optimum posture for you, but the high-density foam makes them slightly firm. You just need to be patient until they get the shape of your body.
- Robustness and durability (5/10 years warranty).
- High-quality fabric – available as well in PU-leather.
- Extraordinary comfort.
- Need to download the assembly guide if you want to see the pictures clearly.
- Pillows are a bit stiff at the beginning.

How to find the best gaming chair for you
If you are looking for your first gaming chair, how do you know if it will fit you well, or what criteria you should consider? If that’s your case, you might not want to miss the following mini buying guide:
Ergonomics
When you are sitting in front of your computer playing games for an extended period, comfort must be a priority. The chair should be highly adjustable to avoid fatigue and back pain: the seat’s height, the position of the armrests, the inclination of the backrest, etc. This way, you can achieve an optimal posture when you are sitting in front of your gaming desk. Likewise, adaptable cushions are a plus point for the comfort of the neck and lower back.
On the other hand, a rocking mechanism could give you more flexibility in moving your body without adjusting the structure of the seat.
Materials
The best gaming chair must have two key points: the structure itself and the upholstery. Since you are investing in a decent chair, the metal frame is a pretty essential requirement to ask for. The most commonly used material is steel, but an excellent high-end chair could be built with aluminium alloys and make lightweight the selling point.
On the other hand, there are two widespread used materials in upholstery: imitation leather (PU-leather) or fabric. The synthetic leather is more durable and easier to clean. However, it may make you sweat easily if the quality of the leather is not good. Fabric chairs are generally more breathable and more suitable for someone living in a warm place.
Size and dimensions
If you are exceptionally tall (or short), you probably know that it’s not easy to find a chair that could fit you perfectly. Some models might have several sizes to increase the adaptation of different needs. When you plan to buy the gaming chair online without testing it personally, the chair’s dimensions are usually provided by the manufacturer. Use them and check out other users reviews to have a rough idea if it could be good for you.
Design
The design definitely depends on your personal taste. How a chair looks like doesn’t affect the comfort it could provide. There are some chairs with a cool design, with a bright colour, or multiple colour selections for the same model. Nevertheless, none of them will make your gaming chair better. So, focus on materials, size and adjustments first.
